ROUND TWO
July 2025

Welcome back and hello to all the newcomers! Since this newsletter is still in its infancy (this is only our 2nd one!), PLEASE reach out to us and let us know your thoughts. What did you like? What do you want to see more of? Thank you in advance for taking the time to love on and support us in what we’re doing!
Evening walks around Town Square.
Where We’ve Been
We have been at home! For the most part… When planning for this summer, we wanted to be in Jackson for “peak season.” One of the few times of year when we get consistent sunny weather out here—80s and clear skies most days.
I never want to take where we live for granted. The fact that I can rally a group of friends at the drop of a hat to drive 30 minutes out of town to go camping, have no service, and have a bonfire blows my mind.
Apart from enjoying home and adventures in the national park, we’ve been back and forth from California every few weeks for weddings back home. We’ve loved getting to celebrate with our community in California, but the real heroes are the friends and family who pick us up and drop us off at the airport every week.
Paddle boarding at String Lake (one of our favorite spots in Grand Teton National Park).
Where We’re Going
Up next on @jayxnina… we’re hoping to explore another local mountain range over in Idaho. The Tetons always get a lot of the attention, but in their shadow, you can find countless seemingly “undiscovered” spots which we hope to keep our little secret.
We have also been really intentional in planning a true vacation this year. Since travel and work go hand in hand for us, we often feel exhausted after going on our trips. Which is why we are SO excited to go to Mexico over Nina’s birthday this month. Mexico has been an annual Cummings’ family vacation destination ever since I was little, so the goal of this trip is to put the camera down and truly relax.
We’re also getting pretty excited for some upcoming trips this off-season. If you’ve followed us for a while, you know that we try to go on a big international trip in the fall. Booking flights this past week has us very excited.
Trying to make the most of mountain town summer and soak in the season before it’s gone.
What We’re Learning
We’re learning how to better support one another. Since the start of @jayxnina, we’ve both developed very distinct responsibilities for our business, which we are learning to share so we can better help each other out.
This month, I have needed to step up, sacrifice, and take responsibility for things I haven’t ever had to do. Nina, in turn, has had to learn how to let go of control and extend grace when things don’t end up going the way she hoped they would.
“Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”
Colossians 3:12-14
In Case You Missed It
Here is the complete tour of our backyard! Jackson Town Square might be the most popular spot for visitors on a trip to Jackson Hole and it’s one of our favorite spots for an evening stroll. So here’s a video of all our personal favorite spots as locals.
